Park Mirakulum, amusement park in Milovice
Park Mirakulum is an amusement park on the edge of Milovice and Jiřice, built on the grounds of a former Soviet army tank regiment and opened in September 2012. Its first structure and central attraction is a large climbing castle of vertical brown wooden planks, with a solid base pierced by a wide open archway and several towers under dark, steep, tiered roofs, the tallest at the centre. Small square openings are cut into the wood, and the castle stands behind bushes and yellow flowers.
Park Mirakulum covers 12 hectares on the former Soviet tank regiment site between Milovice and Jiřice, so plan for plenty of walking between the climbing frames, trampolines, rope centres and maze. The grounds are entered on foot and paths link the zones; sturdy shoes suit the terrain. The park opened in 2012 and receives around 300,000 visitors a year, so weekends and holidays are busiest.
