Fairmont Austin is a glass tower rising 37 stories with more than 1,000 guest rooms overlooking Lady Bird Lake and the Texas State Capitol building. The structure combines modern architecture with direct access to conference and event facilities.

This building opened in 2018 as the city's largest hotel at that time, reflecting growing investment in modern hospitality infrastructure. Its completion represented a major expansion of Austin's lodging capacity in the downtown area.

Five venues operate inside the hotel: Good Things for coffee and quick bites, Rules and Regs, a tapas bar on the seventh-floor pool deck, Revue, a multi-outlet restaurant modeled after a movie set, Fulton, a craft cocktail bar with live music every night, and Garrison, serving modern American cooking over post oak open flame.

The building connects directly to the convention center via an elevated walkway, making navigation convenient for guests. The downtown location puts restaurants, shops, and attractions within walking distance or a short public transit ride.

The 170-foot lighted spire on the roof reaches the maximum height the Federal Aviation Administration allows. During low occupancy, the hotel swaps bulbs in rooms on the south side for color-changing LEDs, drawing a Texas Longhorns logo, a jack-o'-lantern or a wrapped present on the facade.
