Colt Park, Urban park in Hartford, Connecticut

The 106-acre green space contains multiple sports fields, two swimming pools, basketball courts, and walking paths throughout the landscaped grounds.

Elizabeth Hart Jarvis Colt donated the park to Hartford in 1905 as part of the former Armsmear Estate of industrialist Samuel Colt.

The Samuel Colt Monument features four different bronze depictions of the inventor throughout his life, including his time as a young sailor.

The park facilities include soccer fields, baseball diamonds, handball courts, and playgrounds, open to visitors from sunrise to sunset.

Field number nine within the park bears the name of Hartford native Johnny Taylor, who played in the Negro Baseball League.
