Its main house, built about 1860, is a 2+1⁄2-story frame Greek Revival dwelling with a two-room one-story frame ell and a two-story pedimented portico supported by square columns. The property also holds a one-story frame barn, remains of a detached log kitchen, a concrete windmill pedestal, a spring house, a smokehouse, a mill, and the dilapidated remains of Dr. Allison's Drugstore.

The main house was built about 1860 in the Greek Revival style for Dr. Robert Turner Allison, a locally prominent physician and politician. The farm complex, including a barn, spring house, smokehouse, mill and the remains of Dr. Allison's Drugstore, was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1980.
