The district boundaries follow Jackson, Innes, Caldwell, Marsh, Church, East Bank, Lee, and Liberty Streets, including portions of Ellis, Monroe, and Bank Streets.
The First Presbyterian Church tower, constructed between 1891 and 1893, stands as one of the notable landmarks within the district's commercial section.
