The Diyanet Center of America is a Turkish-funded Islamic complex on a 15-acre site in Lanham, Maryland. Its mosque, designed by Muharrem Hilmi Şenalp in 16th-century classical Ottoman style, has a pale stone facade with alternating light and dark greenish-gray bands, pointed arches, a green panel of gold Arabic calligraphy, a small dome and a slender minaret with carved balconies and a conical spire. Four other buildings, an underground garage and a geothermal well field complete the site.

Founded in 1993 as the Turkish American Islamic Foundation, the organization was renamed the Turkish American Community Center (TACC) in 2003 as its services expanded. After a large construction project on a 15-acre site, it took the business name Diyanet Center of America, supported mainly by Turkey's Directorate of Religious Affairs (Diyanet). The completed complex was described as a small village intended as a cultural hub for the Washington, D.C. area.
