Andrew Short House

The Andrew Short House is a 19th-century farmhouse in Henrietta with a two-story wooden frame and vertically laid planks. Single-story additions extend from the rear of the building to provide extra space.

The building was constructed in 1855 and was originally known as the Florendin Feasel House before being registered on the National Register of Historic Places. The registration recognized its importance as an example of mid-1800s rural architecture.

The house shows how people lived in rural Monroe County during the 1800s and the building methods common to the area at that time. The wooden frame construction reflects the craftsmanship that local builders used.

The house is located on Lehigh Station Road in Monroe County and can be viewed from the outside. The best time to visit is during daytime when the architectural details are clearly visible and the property is well lit.

The building was originally known by a different name and was later renamed, reflecting its complex history. The fact that it has survived despite the spread of urban development makes it a rare example of rural living from that era.
