Pegasus and Dragon is a 110-foot-tall dark bronze statue at Gulfstream Park in Hallandale Beach. The rearing winged horse, its head turned right and mane flowing, lifts its right foreleg onto a rocky base where a dragon's open-mouthed head shows beneath the hoof. Two feathered wings sweep back from its shoulders and the tail curves down to the left.

Announced in 2012 as part of Gulfstream Park's expansion, the statue was designed by the German bronze caster Strassacker with Stark, Wendeler and a Chinese foundry. Site work began on April 5, supervised by Strassacker with Skanska overseeing; the pre-cast bronze arrived from China in 23 packing containers and German steel beams in 23 shipping containers. The $30 million project finished casting on December 6, 2014, and the complex opened in spring 2016.

The statue depicts Pegasus, the winged horse of Greek myth, pinning a dragon beneath its hoof. The dragon's head, visible under the raised foreleg, is the source of the fire: during the evening fountain show it breathes flames about 20 feet high, accompanied by 13 musical pieces, 350 fog nozzles and 116 water nozzles.

Free access at the racetrack allows viewing during opening hours. After dark regular evening presentations with music and special effects take place.

The statue was pre-cast in China and shipped to Florida in 23 packing containers, while its steel beams came from Germany in 23 shipping containers. The complex opened in spring 2016.
