Queen Isabella, Bronze statue at Pan American Union Building, Washington DC, United States.

The 12-foot bronze sculpture depicts Queen Isabella wearing a crown of Castile and long robes decorated with the crests of Aragon and Leon.

The statue was inaugurated on April 14, 1966, marking the 475th anniversary of Columbus's first sighting of the Americas during his expedition.

Spain donated this bronze statue to the Organization of American States to represent the historical connection between Europe and the Americas.

The statue stands at the entrance of the Organization of American States headquarters, near the intersection of 17th Street and Constitution Avenue.

The sculpture includes specific details such as a pomegranate in the queen's hands with a dove perched on top of this symbolic fruit.
