California Mart, Fashion industry building in Fashion District, Los Angeles, US
California Mart comprises three 13-story high-rise buildings connected by exterior bridges, forming a large commercial complex in downtown Los Angeles. The structure houses showrooms, offices, and storage space spread across multiple levels.
The first building opened in 1963, founded by Harvey and Barney Morse who operated a clothing factory in Los Angeles. The company later grew into a leading center for the fashion industry.
Thousands of fashion designers and buyers use the showrooms daily to view new collections and conduct business.
The complex sits at the intersection of 9th and Main Streets, with three levels of parking available for visitors. Proximity to major Metro stations makes it easy to arrive by public transportation.
After acquisition by Brookfield in 2017, the building underwent a major modernization that completely renewed its infrastructure and facilities. This renovation made it one of the region's most up-to-date fashion trade centers.
