Fox Valley Ice Arena, Ice sports venue in Geneva, Illinois, US
Fox Valley Ice Arena is an ice sports facility in Geneva, Illinois, with two separate rinks under one roof. One rink is set up for professional and competitive use, while the other serves public skating sessions and everyday training.
In 2015 the facility became the home of the Chicago Steel, a team in the United States Hockey League, which led to major upgrades across the venue. Since then it has grown into one of the key spots for competitive hockey in the greater Chicago area.
The arena runs a figure skating program led by former world-level pair skating specialists Rockne Brubaker and Stefania Berton. Their coaching draws students of all ages, from beginners to competitive skaters.
On Chicago Steel game nights, the parking lot and seating areas fill up fast, so arriving early is a good idea. Inside the building there is a restaurant and a bar, which makes it easy to spend a full evening without leaving the venue.
The arena holds an official partnership with the Chicago Blackhawks organization, one of the most recognized NHL franchises. This link gives local young players access to training methods and resources that are normally reserved for professional teams.
