Warner Bros. Studio Tour Hollywood runs through Warner Bros. Studios Burbank, a 44.5-hectare lot with 31 soundstages and 11 permanent outdoor sets. Visitors pass working stages, the backlot streets standing in for New York or a midwestern town, and Stage 48: Script to Screen, opened in 2015.

First National Pictures built the Burbank lot in 1926; Warner Bros. bought a majority stake in 1928 after the sound-film successes of The Jazz Singer and The Singing Fool, and took full ownership in 1936. A December 1934 fire briefly sent production back to the Sunset Boulevard lot. In 1972 Warner Bros. and Columbia Pictures formed The Burbank Studios, which dissolved in 1990.

Stage 48: Script to Screen opened on July 16, 2015, and holds the original Central Perk set from Friends, where visitors photograph themselves on the couch, plus the Big Bang Theory couch. A green screen lets guests ride a broomstick from Harry Potter or a Batpod from The Dark Knight.

The standard Studio Tour runs three hours, one guided and two self-guided; the Deluxe Tour lasts six hours with a one-hour fine-dining lunch. The lot is an active filming location, so each tour differs and some areas may be closed. Advance reservation is required.

Visitors can view a collection of different Batmobile versions and explore the actual living room set from a popular television series. These spaces offer a direct connection to moments that millions of people experienced on their screens.
