The roundhouse shelters a 60-foot Armstrong turntable bought from Edaville Railroad in 1994 and installed by museum volunteers. The original Columbia Junction roundhouse, built in 1892 and demolished in the 1930s, was reconstructed on its old foundation, with walls raised in 2000 and a cornerstone laid on June 10, 2001.
