Hillside Home School II, Educational architecture in Wyoming, United States
Hillside Home School II features geometric lines and large windows that connect interior spaces with the surrounding natural environment.
Frank Lloyd Wright designed this educational facility in 1901 for his aunts Jane and Ellen C. Lloyd Jones, who operated it until 1915.
The school building represents early twentieth-century educational architecture that emphasized the connection between learning spaces and natural surroundings.
The structure now functions as part of the Taliesin estate, containing a theater and drafting studio accessible through guided tours.
Wright later transformed portions of the building into his main Wisconsin workspace, where he developed numerous architectural designs after World War II.
