MacLean Field, Athletic venue at University of Idaho, US

MacLean Field was an outdoor athletic stadium on the University of Idaho campus in Moscow, Idaho, directly west of the Administration Building and bounded by Shattuck Arboretum to the south. Its wooden grandstand stood along the east bank, with the Memorial Gymnasium (1928) to the northwest. The site is now occupied by the Education Building (1968) and the Women's Physical Education Building and indoor pool (1970).

MacLean Field opened in 1914 on the University of Idaho campus, named for James MacLean, university president from 1900 to 1913. It served as the primary outdoor venue for football, baseball, track, and military drill until Neale Stadium opened in autumn 1937. Football moved to the new stadium, and the baseball infield was relocated from the southwest corner to the northeast corner for the 1940 season.

The name honours James MacLean, university president from 1900 to 1913. The venue closed in 1966, and its last varsity baseball games were a doubleheader sweep of Montana State on Saturday, May 14, 1966, which secured a second Big Sky title in three seasons. The southeast corner survives as open grass.

MacLean Field no longer exists as a stadium: the site is now occupied by the Education Building (1968) on the east and the Women's Physical Education Building and indoor pool (1970) on the west. The only remaining open grass is the southeast corner, once the south end of the football field and left field for baseball.

Baseball remained a fixture at the field until 1966 when the team finished with an outstanding record that season. After that year the sport moved to a different location on campus.
