Hotel Moscow is a three-story brick building in Romanesque Revival style located at the corner of 4th and Main Streets. The structure features rounded arches and solid construction typical of late 1800s design.
The building was completed in 1891 and replaced an earlier hotel built in 1880 that burned down in 1890. Architect M. J. Shields designed it with Romanesque details, giving the structure lasting character.
Hotel Moscow takes its name from the town it serves and reflects the aspirations of the area's settlers. The building functioned as a social hub where community members gathered and connections formed during its formative decades.
