277 Fifth Avenue is a 55-story condominium tower in NoMad, Midtown Manhattan, designed by Rafael Viñoly. Its facade of floor-to-ceiling windows is divided by vertical reinforced-concrete elements, giving the tower a slender profile; open loggias break up the corners on some floors. The tower cantilevers over its southern neighbour, and the four base floors hold shops and services.

In 2012 Kushner Real Estate Group and Ironstate Development bought 277, 279 and 281 Fifth Avenue and planned a 40-story condo by HWKN Architects. Victor Group bought the site in June 2014 for $99 million, later adding 273 and 275 Fifth Avenue for $50.3 million, spending about $174.1 million on land and air rights. Lendlease took a stake in early 2015, construction began in 2016, and the tower topped out in March 2018.

The tower's name comes from its address on Fifth Avenue in NoMad, between Madison Square Park and the Empire State Building. Its facade of vertical reinforced-concrete elements is a homage to nearby late-1930s and early-1940s skyscrapers. The base floors hold shops and service and leisure facilities, with apartments of one to four bedrooms above.

The building houses 130 apartments ranging from one to four bedrooms with amenities including a fitness center, library, and entertainment areas. Keep in mind this is a private residential building not open to the general public.

The tower is built on a cantilever a few metres wide, carrying it over its southern neighbour so the site could hold a building this tall. Developers Lendlease and Victor Group bought air rights from six surrounding properties to give the 55-storey tower enough width for apartments.
