Bugis Museum

The museum was founded in 1982 by Abdullah Bin Ahmad to preserve the heritage of the Bugis community. This group originally migrated from Sulawesi and became influential traders throughout Malaysia.

Visiting during daytime hours is best, as the full exhibition becomes accessible and all details are clearly visible. The building is easy to reach on foot and has plenty of space to explore across two floors.

The building displays an authentic sailing vessel called a prahu that brings the maritime traditions of the Bugis community to life. Together with a collection of earthenware pottery, this shows how deeply craftsmanship is rooted in this community's history.
