Kota Iskandar Mosque is a modern prayer complex in Iskandar Puteri with space for several thousand worshippers spread across a large footprint. The main prayer hall opens onto covered corridors that provide additional space for those gathered to pray.

Construction began in 2012 and was completed in 2015, built by UEM Group and Cahaya Jauhar Sdn Bhd, the developer of Kota Iskandar, under an agreement with the Johor state government and Johor State Secretary Incorporated. The mosque opened on 16 June 2015 and was named after Almarhum Sultan Iskandar ibni Almarhum Sultan Ismail, the 24th Sultan of Johor.

Its six minarets stand for the six Rukun Iman, the pillars of Islamic belief, and the mu'azzin calls the prayer from them. The landscaped garden and terrace host large gatherings such as the Maulidul Rasul celebration.

The site offers ample parking areas and clearly marked pedestrian routes and access points. The layout is straightforward enough that visitors can navigate the grounds without needing detailed guidance.

The six minarets stand for the six Rukun Iman, the pillars of Islamic belief, and are designed as light towers whose tops glow at night to carry the call to prayer. The mosque won a Special Honour Award at the Malaysia Landscape Architecture Award 2017 for its Islamic gardens.
