The prayer hall and terrace corridors of Kota Iskandar Mosque accommodate 2,800 worshippers within its 14,000 square meter complex in Iskandar Puteri.
Built between 2012 and 2015 under an agreement between the Johor state government and Cahaya Jauhar Sdn Bhd, with construction costs reaching 13 million dollars.
The mosque incorporates Quranic verses into its interior design while featuring six minarets that represent the fundamental pillars of Islamic faith.
The mosque includes designated parking areas, service lanes for maintenance purposes, and pedestrian pathways that facilitate movement throughout the religious complex.
The building features a skeletal dome covered with glass that provides natural illumination and temperature regulation throughout the prayer spaces.
