Naturland, Theme park in Sant Julià de Lòria, Andorra
Naturland is an amusement park in Sant Julià de Lòria spread across mountainous terrain at elevations between 1600 and 2000 meters. It offers outdoor activities including archery, paintball, and mountain sports set throughout different zones of the site.
Naturland opened in 2008, an initiative of the Comú de Sant Julià de Lòria to revive the Camp de Neu de la Rabassa, Andorra's only cross-country ski area. Until 2007 the site was used only in the ski season or as a clay pigeon shooting range. In 2021 the name was shortened from Naturlàndia to Naturland, and a phased closure was planned for March 2025.
The name changed from Naturlàndia to Naturland in 2021 as an attempt to modernise the park. The site occupies La Rabassa, the plateau that holds Andorra's only cross-country ski area, with a trail network of about 15 km, roughly a third of the country's cross-country tracks. The ski station itself stays staffed in summer.
Naturland sits at La Rabassa, on a plateau near 2,000 m about 3 km north of Sant Julià de Lòria, reached by road from the town. The site has two levels, at 1,600 m and 2,060 m, so expect a height difference between zones and cooler conditions up top. The ski station linked to the cross-country trails is staffed in summer as well.
The Tobotronc is the longest alpine coaster in the world, running down the slopes of La Rabassa. In 2018 a woman from Sabadell was thrown from the ride and seriously injured, an accident that damaged the park's reputation.
