Marina Mall, Abu Dhabi, Shopping mall in Abu Dhabi, United Arab Emirates
Marina Mall is a shopping and entertainment complex on the breakwater in Abu Dhabi, United Arab Emirates. It has a tall observation tower with a disc-shaped capsule, a white tent-like roof over the main building, and a cream-colored cylindrical tower with a crenellated top nearby.
Marina Mall was completed in December 2000 and opened to the public on 28 March 2001. It was extended in 2007, adding the observatory and other facilities, and further expansion is being considered.
The mall is a popular gathering place for residents and tourists, with a mix of international brands and local shops. The central steam fountain with handcrafted glass mosaic art adds a touch of artistry to the shopping experience.
The mall is easy to reach by car or bus, with bus stops right in front and plenty of parking spaces. It is a short walk from the Corniche and close to the Heritage Village, so you can combine a visit with a stroll along the waterfront.
The mall is built on an artificial island and was once home to an IKEA store before it moved to Yas Island. The observation tower offers views of the city skyline and the surrounding water.
