Plazhi i Shengjinit, Sandy beach in Shengjin, Albania

Plazhi i Shëngjinit is a 9 km long, 30–40 m wide sandy beach on Albania's Adriatic coast, stretching from Shëngjin south to the right bank of the Drin estuary near Kune island. The sand is light greyish-tan, dry at the landward side and darker where it meets the water. Rows of striped loungers and blue-and-white parasols line the shore.

The beach lies 8 km west of Lezhë, running from Shëngjin to the right bank of the Drin estuary south of Kune Island. Its most developed section is the Kune Island area, where a row of restaurants and other hotel facilities has been built. The surrounding area is densely populated, with about 200 inhabitants per square kilometre.

The beach takes its name from Shëngjin, the town at its northern end; the sand is the reason it is known. You can reach the beach via the Shengjin-Kune road, which provides parking in several locations along the shore. The flat terrain makes access to different beach sections straightforward for most visitors.
