Tamanyan Street, Pedestrian street in Kentron district, Armenia
Tamanyan Street extends 200 meters in length and 55 meters in width, connecting the Yerevan Cascade to Moscow Street in central Yerevan.
The street, established in 1960, bears the name of Alexander Tamanian, the principal architect who designed the master plan for modern Yerevan in 1924.
The Cafesjian Sculpture Garden displays numerous artworks along the street, including Fernando Botero's Cat, Roman Warrior, and Woman Smoking a Cigarette sculptures.
Multiple cafes, restaurants, and teahouses line both sides of the street, providing various dining options throughout the day and evening hours.
A commemorative statue of Alexander Tamanian, installed in 1974, stands at the entrance of the street near the Cascade complex stairs.
