House Museum of Aram Khachaturyan

The House Museum of Aram Khachaturyan is a museum housed in a converted mansion displaying the composer's manuscripts, photographs, personal items, and musical instruments. The collection includes around 2,500 recordings of classical and contemporary music, along with a chamber concert hall for performances.

The building was originally a residence where Khachaturyan stayed during his visits to Yerevan, and he had a direct hand in shaping its design. It opened as a museum in 1984, establishing this space as a lasting memorial to the composer's connection with the Armenian capital.

The rooms display personal belongings and musical instruments that show how the composer lived and worked in his daily life. Regular chamber concerts performed here connect visitors directly to his artistic legacy in the spaces where he once stayed.

A grand piano bearing the composer's own signature is part of the collection, creating a personal connection to the artist. This instrument was specifically purchased for a reception held in his honor in Brazil and represents the international recognition of his work.
