The Museo de Historia Natural de Concepción is a natural history museum in the Chilean city of Concepción and displays collections on regional fauna, paleontology, archaeology, and ethnography of the Biobío Region. The exhibits also cover the geographical history of this southern area.
The museum was founded in 1902 by Edwin Reed Brookman, who worked with taxidermist Gabriel Castillo to collect and display regional and exotic species. This early collecting activity established the foundation for the institution.
