El Manzano is a prison in Concepción, Chile. It made headlines after the 2010 Chile earthquake, when a failed escape attempt by inmates set off a riot: parts of the prison were set on fire, and order was restored only after guards fired into the air and military units arrived to help.

On 3 March 2005, guards at El Manzano reported finding a tunnel seven metres long that inmates had built.
