Laguna Lo Galindo, Natural lagoon in Barrio Norte, Concepción, Chile.
The Lo Galindo Lagoon extends across 40,000 square meters of surface area with a maximum depth of 3 meters in the northern sector of Concepción.
The lagoon formed between 8000 and 6400 years ago through fluvial and wind processes originating from the Biobío River system.
Since 1994, colored anthropomorphic sculptures by artist Carlos Fernández stand on the water surface, representing figures walking in different directions.
The urban park surrounding the lagoon features walkways, parking areas, viewpoints, and green spaces following a recent renovation worth 2.15 billion pesos.
Lo Galindo belongs to a system of seven lagoons in Greater Concepción, with its waters flowing into a collector that connects to the Andalién River.
