Cenco Florida, Retail complex in La Florida, Santiago, Chile
Cenco Florida, formerly Mall Florida Center, is a shopping complex in La Florida, Santiago, with four public levels above five parking levels. Its beige facade carries the red JUMBO lettering and a blue sign listing JUMBO, EASY, CINES and MALL. Anchor stores stand at its sides: Jumbo to the north, Easy to the east, Ripley and París to the west. Inside are more than 200 shops and a 14-screen cinema.
The shopping center opened in 2003 and became one of the major retail destinations in the district. It later served as the birthplace for restaurant concepts that expanded beyond the neighborhood and eventually reached national scale.
The mall's name comes from the La Florida commune, and it has changed several times: Mall Florida Center, Mall Portal Florida Center in December 2018, then Cenco Florida in 2024 under the Cenco Malls restructuring. Inside, the Plaza de la Tierra has a mosaic floor showing South America with Chile highlighted and a red dot on Santiago; the Plazas del Agua and del Aire complete the set.
Cenco Florida sits in La Florida, not in Santiago's central district, so allow travel time from downtown. Access ramps link the mall directly to Mirador station on Metro Line 5. The building has four public floors above five parking levels, three above ground and two below, with 5,500 spaces. Two panoramic elevators serve the levels.
The complex was the birthplace of a well-known restaurant chain that started with its first location here in 2006. This success story shows how the place influenced Chilean food and dining culture beyond its retail purpose.
