Omora Ethnobotanical Park, Protected natural area in Navarino Island, Chile.

The park spans 1,000 hectares of sub-Antarctic temperate forests, featuring Antarctic beech trees, evergreen forests, peatlands, and the Róbalo river basin.

In 2000, the Omora Foundation and Universidad de Magallanes established this protected site to integrate conservation with scientific research and environmental education.

The name derives from the Yaghan word for hummingbird, Sephanoides sephanoides, which holds spiritual importance in the indigenous culture of southern Chile.

Located 3 kilometers west of Puerto Williams, the park offers accommodation for 24 visitors, laboratory facilities, and guided trails for groups of 12 people.

The park developed the Field Environmental Philosophy methodology, combining ecological research with direct environmental engagement through programs like Tourism with a Hand Lens.
