Anacleto Formation, Late Cretaceous geologic formation in Neuquén Province, Argentina
The Anacleto Formation is a geologic layer in Neuquén Province composed of dark claystones in purple and red tones. The formation reaches a thickness of 60 to 90 meters (200 to 300 feet) and contains scattered geodes and numerous fossilized remains from the Cretaceous period.
