Daireaux Partido, Administrative division in Buenos Aires Province, Argentina
Daireaux is an administrative division in the central west region of Buenos Aires Province, covering agricultural land across flat pampean terrain. The area includes several settlements spread throughout, each with its own character within the larger rural landscape.
The region was renamed Daireaux in 1970 to honor French rancher brothers Emilio and Godofredo Daireaux, who played important roles in developing the area. Before this change, it was known as Partido de Caseros.
The Festival of Fortinera Deroense has celebrated local women through artistic performances and the selection of a representative since 1981. This celebration shows how the community values its women.
This is a rural area with flat terrain that makes it easy to explore by various means of transportation. Most residents have access to basic services and water, though the population remains sparse across the territory.
The territory bears traces of its French heritage through the names and influence of early European settlers who shaped ranching and farming traditions. This European imprint remains visible in how the land is worked and organized today.
