Monte Peloni

Monte Peloni is a former detention and torture center located along Route 226 between Olavarría and Mar del Plata. The facility displays the physical conditions of confinement and documents crimes committed during the military dictatorship.

Between 1976 and 1978, the Argentine Army used this facility to imprison and torture young people from the region during the Dirty War. This period marked one of the darkest chapters in Argentine history.

The site preserves memories of systematic oppression and serves as a space for reflection on human rights. Visitors encounter personal accounts and testimonies from those who were imprisoned here.
