Banco Germánico de la América del Sud, Financial building in San Nicolás district, Buenos Aires, Argentina.
The Banco Germánico structure spans between Avenida Leandro N. Alem and 25 de Mayo Street, featuring different heights due to natural terrain slopes.
Constructed in 1928 by architect Ernesto Sackmann, the building was confiscated from German societies during World War I by the Argentine government.
The architectural design incorporates German influences with granite facades, limestone cladding, bronze details, and marble interiors in an eclectic style.
The building contains three elevators accessed from 25 de Mayo Street and two from Avenida Alem, with the main entrance leading to a central hall.
The structure utilizes the natural slope created by the Rio de la Plata, resulting in four stories on 25 de Mayo Street and eight stories on Avenida Alem.
