Pizzurno Palace, Government building in Recoleta, Argentina.

The four-story Pizzurno Palace displays Second Empire and German Renaissance Revival architectural elements with ornate stone carvings and symmetrical facade design.

Built between 1886 and 1888 by architects Carlos and Hans Altgelt, following the wishes of Petronila Rodriguez de Rojas to create an educational facility.

The palace houses the National Library of Teachers and serves as the headquarters for Argentina's Ministry of Education since 1903.

Visitors can access the building during weekday business hours through the main entrance facing Rodriguez Peña Plaza on Pizzurno Street.

The structure received its current name from Pablo Pizzurno, an education reformer, despite its official designation as Sarmiento Palace in 1961.
