The Convention Center Salta is a modern building with multiple halls and flexible configurable space. The rooms can be divided by mobile acoustic partitions and accommodate various event formats.

The Centro de Convenciones Salta was inaugurated on 11 August 2007 to meet demand from the meetings tourism sector: congresses, fairs, exhibitions, sporting events and corporate and incentive travel. In May 2012, Provincial Decree No. 1791/12, signed by Governor Juan Manuel Urtubey, turned it into a state company, Centro de Convenciones Salta S.E., working with the Ministry of Culture and Tourism and the private sector.

Since May 2012 the venue has operated as Centro de Convenciones Salta S.E., a provincial state company created by Decree 1791/12 under Governor Juan Manuel Urtubey, working with the Ministry of Culture and Tourism and private partners. Its stated aim is to promote meetings tourism and host events at regional, national and international level, positioning Salta as a congress destination within Argentina and Mercosur.

The venue offers climate-controlled rooms and can accommodate between 250 and 2,650 people depending on how spaces are arranged. There is also a kitchen, storage areas, and a spacious foyer for various activities.

The main hall covers 2,360 m² and can be split into two, three or four smaller rooms using fully acoustic movable panels. The venue also has simultaneous interpretation booths and a sound and lighting control room, equipment often reserved for larger national venues.
