Salta Cathedral, National historical monument and minor basilica in Salta, Argentina.

The pink-colored baroque revival cathedral features two prominent bell towers, elaborate decorations, and grand facades adorned with detailed architectural patterns.

The construction of Salta Cathedral extended from 1782 to 1882, with architects Felipe Bertrés and Francesco Righetti incorporating both local traditions and period design elements.

The cathedral holds the remains of General Martín Miguel de Güemes and maintains a collection of religious art, including paintings, sculptures, and altar decorations.

Located at España 558 in central Salta, the cathedral opens daily for visitors and religious services, with special activities during annual celebrations.

Every September 15th, thousands of pilgrims travel by foot, bicycle, and horse to participate in the Miracle Festival at the cathedral.
