Indaial

Indaial extends across 430 square kilometers of land at an elevation of 444 meters, situated along the banks of the Itajaí River.

The area transformed from indigenous Tapajós and Carijós territories into a European settlement in 1860, leading to its official establishment as a municipality in 1934.

The population of 70,900 residents maintains strong connections to their German, Italian, and Polish ancestral traditions through local festivals and customs.
