Casa do Trem Bélico, Colonial military museum in Historical Center, Santos, Brazil.
The Casa do Trem Bélico features thick stone walls measuring 95 centimeters, constructed with a mixture of stone, sambaqui lime, and whale oil.
Built in 1738 by architect José da Silva Pais, this structure served as a military arsenal to protect Vila de Santos during Portuguese colonial times.
The museum presents guided tours led by the character Zé Corneteiro, who shares stories about the building in five different languages.
Located at Rua Tiro Onze 11, the museum opens from Tuesday to Sunday between 11:00 AM and 5:00 PM with free admission for all visitors.
The building maintains its original Portuguese Mannerist architecture and stands as the sole remaining colonial military magazine structure in Brazil.
