Museu Aeroespacial

The Museu Aeroespacial is an aviation museum in Realengo, Rio de Janeiro, displaying aircraft, engines, documents, and photographs from Brazil's aviation history. The collection covers examples from many decades of technological development.

The institution was founded in 1976 at Afonsos Air Force Base, based on a proposal by Dr. Salgado Filho from 1943. A presidential decree in 1973 formalized the museum's establishment.
