Estádio Giulite Coutinho, Football stadium in Cosmorama, Mesquita, Brazil

The Estádio Giulite Coutinho is a football ground in the Cosmorama neighbourhood of Mesquita, Rio de Janeiro State, owned by America Football Club. Its capacity is 13,544, though it is currently licensed for just over 12,150 people. The original project foresaw expansion to about 32,000 seats. It stands 200 metres from Edson Passos railway station, whose name locals also use for the stadium.

Inaugurated on 23 January 2000, when America beat a Rio de Janeiro State Combined Team 3–1 before more than 4,000 spectators, with Sorato scoring the first goal. The stadium later hosted matches in all four divisions of the Brazilian Championship and the three divisions of the Campeonato Carioca, and in 2011 it underwent its first renovation for the Military World Games. In May 2016 Fluminense signed an agreement with America and funded about R$ 700,000 in upgrades.

The stadium is named after Giulite Coutinho, a former president of America and of the CBF, under whom the Granja Comary training centre was built; America later named him honorary president in memoriam. Because it stands 200 metres from Edson Passos railway station, it is popularly called Estádio Édson Passos. Fluminense agreed in May 2016 to use the ground, funding about R$700,000 in works and setting aside the 2,500-seat sector D for visiting fans.

Visitors should arrive early on match days to secure good parking and access. The facility provides restrooms and refreshment stands throughout the venue for a comfortable experience.

The stadium is 200 metres from Edson Passos railway station, so it is popularly known by the station's name, Estádio Édson Passos. On 11 December 2016 it hosted the 1-1 draw with Fluminense that sent Internacional to the second division for the first time in its history.
