The observation point sits at an elevated position on Serra do Curral mountain range, providing a complete view of Belo Horizonte's urban landscape and surrounding mountains.
Initially housing a weather station and Radio Jornal do Brasil building, the site transformed into a public space when Municipal Parks Foundation took control in 2006.
The viewpoint connects residents with their geography through informational signs about local flora, fauna, and geographical features of Minas Gerais region.
Visitors can access the site Tuesday through Sunday from 9:00 AM to 6:00 PM, with facilities including restrooms, rest areas, and three telescopes for detailed observation.
The wooden deck structure enables a near 360-degree perspective of Belo Horizonte, displaying both the modern city center and the natural Serra do Curral formation.
