Natural Sciences Museum of the Pontifical Catholic University of Minas Gerais

The museum contains extensive collections of Brazilian fauna specimens from the cerrado biome, including mammals, birds, reptiles, and amphibians in detailed displays.

Founded in 1983, the museum established itself as an educational institution within the Pontifical Catholic University of Minas Gerais, which began operations in 1958.

The institution conducts educational programs and scientific workshops for students and researchers, contributing to natural sciences education in Brazil.

Located at Avenida Dom José Gaspar 290, the museum opens Tuesday through Friday from 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM, with guided tours available upon request.

The museum exhibits five specimens of South American dinosaurs, pterosaurs, and a giant crocodile skull dating back 150 million years to the Mesozoic Period.
