Itagi

Itagi is a municipality in Bahia state located at approximately 530 meters in elevation and covering around 310 square kilometers. The area encompasses diverse landscapes typical of northeastern Brazil with a population of roughly 14,000 residents.

Itagi developed through settlement by farmers who recognized the agricultural potential of the fertile lands in the region. The municipality grew as a traditional community with deep roots in farming and land cultivation.

Local residents, known as itagienses, maintain traditional festivities throughout the year, including preparations for the anticipated Juninho celebrations in 2025.

The municipality provides essential services and basic infrastructure for visitors and residents. When exploring the area, keep in mind that the elevation results in a mild climate and access to different parts occurs along well-maintained roads.

A fruit pulp factory under construction represents the municipality's commitment to expanding agricultural processing capabilities and economic development.
