Estação das Docas

Estação das Docas is a leisure complex along Guajará Bay featuring three restored iron warehouses that house restaurants, shops, and cultural venues. The site spans a large waterfront area and combines maritime heritage with modern dining and entertainment facilities.

Built in 1909 with English iron structures, the site served as a critical port and trading facility for northern Brazil's economy. The warehouses underwent restoration and now serve a new purpose as a public recreation area.

The Maria Sylvia Nunes Theater in Warehouse 1 hosts performances of regional music, dance, and theater throughout the year, reflecting local artistic traditions. Visitors experience authentic Amazonian and Brazilian art forms that shape the cultural life of Belém.

The complex is pleasant to explore during daytime with good lighting and wide walkways between the warehouses and along the waterfront. There are various seating areas where you can pause and watch the waterfront activity.

Original steam engines and vintage American cranes from the early 20th century remain on display throughout the complex, telling the story of its industrial past. These machines show how the port operated with cutting-edge technology of that era.
