Union's End

Located in a dry riverbed within the Kgalagadi Transfrontier Park, Union's End marks the intersection of the borders between South Africa, Namibia, and Botswana.

The location received its name during the period when South Africa was known as the Union of South Africa, marking the northernmost point of that territory.

The area contains Acacia erioloba trees, some of which are over 200 years old according to research conducted by the University of Pretoria botanists.

Visitors can find an information board under a reed-thatched roof, directional indicators, and a picnic table at the coordinates 24°45′55.3″S 19°59′58.7″E.

The Nossob River flows past this geographical point, establishing the eastern border of Namibia while creating a natural boundary between the three nations.
