Black volcanic rocks extend into the Indian Ocean, creating powerful waves that break along the southwestern coastline of Réunion Island.

Due to safety concerns and shark presence in the area, water activities are currently restricted, and visitors should follow posted warning signs.

The site features a combination of black sand beaches and cliff formations that provide vantage points for observing intense wave patterns.
