Atlantis Marine Park, Amusement park in Two Rocks, Western Australia.
Atlantis Marine Park was an amusement facility in Two Rocks on the coast north of Perth that displayed marine life and engaged visitors through various attractions focused on the ocean. The grounds contained pools for animals, water features, and educational shows set in a seaside location.
The park opened in 1981 and offered visitors dolphin performances and marine exhibits. New regulations in 1988 made operating the facility harder, leading to the park's closure in 1990.
The Neptune statue that stood at the park's center became a local symbol of the area's connection to the sea and its maritime traditions. This figure shaped how residents and visitors understood the region's relationship with ocean culture.
The site was roughly 60 kilometers north of Perth and accessible by car, with its seaside setting drawing day visitors from the city. When planning a visit, one should consider the season and prepare for coastal weather, as wind and ocean conditions affected the experience.
After closure, the dolphins were placed in a rehabilitation program designed to return them to their natural ocean environment. This project demonstrated how facilities could support animals transition from captive life back to the wild.
