The Southern Beekeepers Nature Reserve spans 10,841 hectares of scrub heath, Kwongan heath, and Banksia woodlands near the northern coast of Western Australia.
The Department of Lands and Surveys declared this area a nature reserve in 1979, replacing a former stock route that connected Dongara to Perth until 1971.
The reserve maintains extensive programs for beekeeping education and research, demonstrating the methods of sustainable honey production in Western Australia.
Indian Ocean Drive provides access to the reserve's facilities, including designated trails, parking areas, and the Molah Hill vista point observation platform.
The reserve contains eleven documented reptile species, fifty-six bird species, and specific tuart tree clusters that reach their northernmost growth limit in this location.
