Southern Beekeepers Nature Reserve, Nature reserve in Shire of Dandaragan, Australia.

Southern Beekeepers Nature Reserve is a protected area in Western Australia with extensive heath, Kwongan vegetation, and Banksia woodlands covering the landscape. The Indian Ocean Drive provides main access and leads to marked trails, parking facilities, and the Molah Hill observation point.

The area was officially declared a nature reserve in 1979, replacing a historic stock route that had connected Dongara to Perth until 1971. This change marked the transition from pastoral use to conservation purposes.

The reserve protects native heathland that is characteristic of Western Australia's coastal region and shows visitors how diverse plant communities grow together in this environment. Walking the trails reveals how the landscape changes gradually from one area to another.

Access to the reserve is primarily via Indian Ocean Drive, which connects to parking areas and walking trails throughout the site. Visitors should prepare for changing weather conditions and bring sufficient water, as the landscape offers little shelter.

The reserve marks the northernmost limit where Tuart trees naturally grow, a species otherwise found further south in the region. This location also hosts more than 50 bird species and 11 reptile species, making it a point where multiple ecosystems converge.
