Museum di Tengah Kebun

Museum di Tengah Kebun is a private museum in Jakarta's Kemang district that houses around 4,000 art pieces and historical artifacts. The collection is organized across 17 thematic rooms spread throughout the property.

The museum's walls were built using around 65,000 bricks from former Dutch East India Company buildings. Door fixtures from an 18th-century women's prison were incorporated into the structure.

The Buddha Room exhibits statues from various countries, while the Loro Blonyo Room displays traditional Javanese marriage figurines that symbolize harmony. These collections show how religious and cultural traditions come together in one space.

The museum is open on weekends, allowing visitors to explore all rooms at their own pace during those times. Access to the property is straightforward, as it is laid out as an open garden setting.

One surprising element is the oversized bathroom, which contains both ancient Chinese furniture and 19th-century European lamps. This unusual collection demonstrates how treasures are scattered throughout the property.
