Melbourne Markets is a wholesale market in Epping with dedicated sections for fruit, vegetables, and flowers operated by more than 300 trading stands and around 160 permanent shops. The facility houses 120,000 square meters of warehousing space and operates as Australia's largest warehouse complex among central markets.

The market relocated to Epping in 2015 after operating for many years at Footscray Road. Its roots go back further, with previous locations at Queen Victoria Market and Western Market on Collins Street.

The market serves as a key meeting point for the food supply chain, where growers, wholesalers, and retailers gather during early morning trading. This arrangement allows buyers to source fresh products directly and build ongoing relationships with suppliers across different regions.

Visitors should arrive in the early morning hours to see the busiest trading activity and the widest product selection. The location is best reached by car, as the large site offers ample parking.
